A gold coin, offered to Napoleon III commemorating the end of the restoration of Notre Dame de Paris in 1864, reached 170,000 Swiss francs (about 155,000 Euros) during its auction sale in Geneva on November 19, 2019. The sale was organized by “Numismatica Genevensis” which supports the efforts of the reconstruction of Notre Dame, victim of a violent fire on April 15th.
